YK Osiris will not be charged with aggravated assault by strangulation on a female companion.
It appears that YK Osiris has one less issue to be concerned about.
According to TMZ, the musician will not be charged with a crime and will be spared from prosecution in an alleged assault case in Atlanta.
In September of this year, the musician was arrested for reportedly assaulting his girlfriend during a birthday celebration. He was arrested in Atlanta on a felony charge of aggravated assault by strangulation at the time. His girlfriend said cops he choked her and bit her in the face, according to the police report. According to TMZ, the altercation erupted after the girlfriend saw a photo on YK’s phone of a woman wearing nothing but a towel.
The Fulton County D.A.’s Office claims that even though Atlanta PD had probable cause to arrest Osiris in November 2019, the D.A. has decided not to prosecute… at this time, according to court documents obtained by the news outlet.
Prosecutors are currently investigating why they are not pushing forward. If this seems familiar, it’s because the Fulton County District Attorney’s office likewise opted not to pursue Trippie Redd’s case this week.
