Draymond Green and Kendrick Perkins have a blatant dislike for one another. Perkins was a vociferous opponent of USA Basketball before the team won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, and he was one of the people Green appeared to enjoy calling out after the team reached the summit of basketball’s mountain. Green also made a point of mentioning Perkins on IG Live after the game while headed to a press conference with Kevin Durant.
Perkins, on the other hand, appears to believe that any dispute between these two is genuine enough that he wants Green to back it up. Perkins appeared on the Road Trippin‘ show and stated that he would be willing to fight Green, though he is skeptical that Green would want to do so as well.
“He’s not even my former teammate, but he feel like that I talk sh*t, and I feel like he talk sh*t, is Draymond Green,” Perkins said. “Like, if I had to get in the ring and really put these paws on somebody, it would be Draymond Green. But I really think he don’t want that smoke, and history tells me he really don’t want that smoke.”
It’s a safe guess that this won’t happen, but with so many national television games on the Warriors’ schedule next season, maybe Draymond and Perk may cross paths at some point.
