Many of you are aware that Nene Leakes recently stated that her husband, Gregg Leakes, is battling cancer and that his health is deteriorating. A client at her lounge posted a video as she delivered an update, saying, “When you see me, you see my son give us a lot of love okay, my husband is transferring to the other side,” as previously reported. Nene addressed being branded impolite for not wishing one of her customers a happy birthday in the video, and when she took the stage, she revealed that Gregg’s health is deteriorating. We contacted with the woman who filmed the video, and she said she and her friends did not request a birthday shoutout from Nene, nor did they call her unpleasant.
“I believe a stranger may have told her it was my friend’s birthday and requested her to send a shout out to her,” she explained. “If you listen to my voice on the video, you will not detect hostility,” she remarked, despite her surprise at Nene’s announcement. We hold NeNe and Greg in high regard and were saddened by the news.” During this trying time, she continued to pray for Gregg and Nene. Nene revealed Gregg’s cancer had returned in June, as we previously reported. “Gregg’s so/so he’s in the hospital,” she added at the time in an interview with The Jasmine Brand. He’s been in the hospital for a week, and tomorrow is his one-week anniversary.
This is the first time I’ve spoken up about it. In a week or so, I’m sure he’ll be in the hospital. He had to go under the knife. As a result, his cancer returned.” Gregg was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018, and he went into remission the following year. Gregg and Nene Leakes continue to be in our prayers!
