The Met Gala has a theme every year, and this year’s was celebrating the history of American fashion—but many celebrities chose a specific hue to represent their vision. The theme of the evening seemed to be “all black everything,” as several of the A-list celebrities in attendance at the Met Gala chose the color, and the result was absolutely trendy. On the surface, black may not appear to be the most interesting color, but if you are truly trendy, like the celebs that attended the Met Gala, you can easily transform a dull color into a total fashion moment.
On the red carpet, there were some brilliant hues that shone out, but it was clear that black was the night’s winner! All black costumes were prominent among A-listers such as Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and Erykah Badu, as well as couples such as Pharrell Williams and his wife Helen, and Kris Jenner and boyfriend Corey Gamble. They weren’t alone, as Justin Bieber, Lil Baby, and Swizz Beatz wore the hue of the night as well.
