It goes without saying that Bunny Wailer is one of the most iconic artists of all time—and I’m not the only one who thinks so. In his latest album, Grammy-nominated producer and celebrated reggae artist Picstitch leads the band, The Reggaestra, in releasing an album dedicated to the reggae legend.
In “Tribute to Bunny Wailer,” Picstitch and The Reggaestra cover fourteen of Wailer’s songs including “Dream Land,” “Fighting Against Conviction,” “Amagedeon,” and more. Although The Reggaestra’s versions are a bit faster and more upbeat than the original songs, the covers are enjoyable for those familiar with Wailer and those who are not.
A standout cover is “Rock and Groove,” which kicks off the tribute album. The song will have you doing just that—rocking and grooving.
