When it comes to fraud, the federal government isn’t messing around—especially when it comes to people who use money from the Paycheck Protection Program, or PPL loan, for purposes other than business. Arkansas Mo, born Mo Fayne, the ex-husband of Karlie Redd, is set to serve 17.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to 6 counts, including bank and wire fraud, according to fresh court documents acquired by TMZ. Mo utilized his PPP loan to pay $40k in past-due child support, $85k in jewelry, $136k for a Rolls-Royce, and $907k to launch a new business in Arkansas, as we previously reported.
According to the Department of Justice, he applied for a $3.7 million PPP loan and falsely stated that his trucking company employed 107 people with a monthly payment of $1,490,200. When Mo returns to prison, he won’t be free for long. He was sentenced to 5 years of supervised release and forced to pay $4,465,865.55 in restitution. When the news broke, the Roommates wondered what would become of Baby Blue, who had been charged with many counts of wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to conduct wire fraud for his alleged role in a $24 million PPP loan scam.
He was anticipated to plead guilty in that case, according to reports, as we reported in May. He wasn’t concerned about the charges at the moment. He told Hollywood Unlocked at the time that he didn’t think his prospective prison sentence would be a big deal. “I ain’t on a bender. I’m going to be ripped up like Gucci Mane and one of the hottest rappers in the world when I come out,” he claimed. “On Friday, my new single ‘Up Again’ will be released! I’m talking about those f*ck n*ggas that TRYED to rob me but couldn’t get away with it!” What are your thoughts on this, roommates?
