It’s incredible that Majid Jordan opted to spend some time with their fans this year. It will be four years next month since the team released their debut album, The Space Between, to the world. The project produced a high-quality product, and people who appreciated it were eager for more. Unfortunately, fans of Majid Jordan have had to wait for the duo’s next release for the better part of a decade since that album, which happily arrived earlier this year. “Summer Rain,” their most recent album, continues their prolific output. They praise their new sweetheart on the track for relieving their stress in the same way that summer rain does during a heat wave.
Majid Jordan’s 2021 comeback began with the release of “Waves Of Blue” this past spring. The confident single was the ideal way to kick off their comeback, with the band employing pop-leaning production for an uplifting free-floating ballad in which they pour their hearts out to an unknown love interest. They followed that up with “Been Through That,” a dancefloor-friendly tune about the various levels of love. Prior to the release of “Been Through That,” Majid Jordan tweeted about both songs.
“’Waves of Blue’ was made at the very beginning of this album, and it only makes sense that we begin our next chapter with this song,” they wrote. “This song is like staring at the sea – you’re not in the water, but you’re getting carried away by its currents.”
