Without a doubt, Latto was one of the most prominent rappers to emerge in 2020. With her participation in the 2020 XXL Freshman class and the release of her major-label first album, Queen Of Da Souf, the Atlanta native has built a name for herself. However, with each new year comes new goals and levels to achieve, and thus far in 2021, Latto appears to be on course to do so. Months after changing her name, the rapper is back with her latest single, “Big Energy,” a music that fans have been asking because of its distinctiveness.
Latto’s latest single, “Dance Ready,” deviates from her customary hard-hitting strip club-friendly tracks, allowing her to demonstrate her flexibility. The rapper teased the song during a brief performance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month. Prior to that performance, Latto teased the song on social media, prompting her admirers to call for its release, and now, after a long wait, the song is now available for them to enjoy.
After collaborating with Toosii on the video for their “5’5′” collaboration, Latto returns with “Big Energy.” She previously collaborated with Don Toliver and Lil Durk on a video for the F9 soundtrack tune “Fast Lane.”
