Giveon is back in action with his very strong single, “For Tonight,” following a tremendous year thanks to his 2020 EPs Take Time and When It’s All Said And Done. The song is a quote from the emotional album, as it finds the Long Beach native pleading for a little moment of closeness with a special love. Despite his pleadings, the singer’s spouse is hesitant to open up to Giveon, as their main concern is the couple’s future. Giveon advises them to concentrate on the present while leaving the future to its own devices.
After combining his Take Time and When It’s All Said And Done EPs into one project titled When It’s All Said And Done…, Giveon released the track. Take Time was re-released with the song “All To Me,” a sensual addition to the singer’s discography. Giveon also scored his first No. 1 single with Daniel Caesar’s guest performance on Justin Bieber’s “Peaches.” Giveon’s visit on NPR’s Tiny Desk, a video for “Still Your Best,” and his debut on daytime TV with a performance of “Heartbreak Anniversary” on Ellen are among his other highlights from the last year.
