Fans were startled and heartbroken when Gregg Leakes went away after a fight with colorectal cancer roughly a month ago. NeNe Leakes, understandably, is still grieving and has taken to social media to vent her feelings as she continues to process his passing. NeNe Leakes posted a photo of Gregg Leakes to her Instagram stories with the remark, “Missing you like mad.” F**kkkkkk.” She also posted an emoji of a broken heart. Gregg died at the age of 66 after a long fight with colon cancer, as we previously reported.
NeNe Leakes stated earlier this week that he was transitioning and that he only had a short time left. Ernest Dukes, the Leakes family’s publicist and close friend, issued a statement confirming the tragic news, writing: “Today the Leakes family is in great grief with a broken heart.” Gregg Leakes went away quietly in his home, accompanied by all of his children, very close loved ones, and wife Nene Leakes, after a lengthy fight with cancer. We respectfully request that you pray for peace and strength for their family, and that you allow them to grieve privately at this extremely difficult time.”
Gregg was initially diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in June 2018, almost a year later in May 2019, he happily celebrated being cancer-free. Sadly, his cancer returned in June of this year, followed by NeNe updating fans that he had been hospitalized for six weeks after undergoing surgery.We continue to send our condolences to NeNe Leakes and her family during this difficult time.
