Britney Spears has had a rollercoaster of a career. Not only in the last few months, as she battles it out in court with her father and the allegedly corrupt legal team who engineered her cruel conservatorship, but throughout the previous thirteen years, when her condition appeared hopeless and permanent. After years of not knowing what was going on or if their efforts were worthwhile, her fans banded together to form the #FreeBritney movement, which sparked amateur and then professional investigations into her predicament, and after years of not knowing what was going on or if their efforts were worthwhile, those dedicated few are finally receiving gratitude directly from the source.
Britney Spears announced her sudden freedom on Twitter today, thanking her #FreeBritney fans for their support.
“#FreeBritney movement… I have no words… because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship…. my life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it…”
Although she isn’t totally free of the conservatorship, a landmark decision last week to remove her father from the proceedings indicates that the system will most likely be abolished. Meanwhile, she got engaged, went on vacation, and celebrated by posting nudes. To be honest, I can’t think of a better approach to acknowledge the change in control and begin to accept her life back. As long as she keeps in mind that she still has a lot of mending to do.
