Jason Kidd’s Extremely Awkward Team Photo Drew A Lot Of Laughs On NBA Twitter

Kidd became fodder for NBA Twitter, with jokes about him looking like a clone of Vin Diesel.

Jason Kidd has been named the new head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, and he will be entrusted with figuring out how to make the Luka Doncic-Kristaps Porzingis pairing work, as the Mavericks look to break through their first-round ceiling and become a Western Conference contender this season.

Kidd will have a lot of work to do to get those two on the same page, especially when it comes to playoff time, but in the meanwhile, Kidd must feel comfortable in Dallas. I’m not only talking about on the bench, but also in front of the camera, because after several years as an assistant, Kidd had to take individual shots for team media day, and the results were comically awful.

Kidd’s huge collared throwback shirt wasn’t helping him, and neither was Jason’s decision to stand as stiffly as could. As a result, Kidd became fodder for NBA Twitter, with jokes about him looking like a clone of Vin Diesel, being a regular at a bowling league, and, of course, Bryan Colangelo collar jokes.

Looks like a Vin Diesel costume.
