The internet is baffled by a viral video showing Jayda Cheaves meeting hip hop legend LL Cool J for the first time. Backstage at the BET Hip Hop Awards, the unusual duo met, and the atmosphere could not have been more awkward. When compared to someone of LL’s stature, Jayda, who was wearing a see-through gown that embraced all of her contours, seemed tiny. The two posed for a brief snapshot while laughing in the video. LL Cool J offered his hand to Jayda for a handshake when the camera flashed, telling her it was a “pleasure,” but Jayda uncomfortably moved away from him and left him hanging.

But it was Jayda who chose to clear the air regarding the unpleasant incident, letting fans know that, despite appearances, she had no intention of disrespecting LL.
Jayda said, “I genuinely don’t want you guys to think I was being disrespectful.” “I’m quite friendly and bubbly.” She went on to say that she was backstage prepping for her role in the musical when a “PR” acquaintance approached her and asked if she wanted a photo with LL. “I was already a little jittery. So when I met him, I fell in love with him but quickly froze,” she explained. She went on to say that when she felt his tap, she mistook it for her friend trying to persuade her to do something different.
