The Batman’s official Twitter account and director Matt Reeves have been releasing tiny bits of Bat-gold to build up enthusiasm for what will almost surely be a new trailer release as the film prepares to have a large presence at Saturday’s DC FanDome event.
The new Bat-signal is first up, with a small trailer showcasing Robert Pattinson’s Batman delivering the menacing line, “It’s not just a signal; it’s a warning,” in his best Bat-voice.
Then, after a night of presumably pounding the snot out of evil, Reeves posted a shot from the upcoming new teaser, which shows Pattinson’s Batman watching the sun rise over Gotham City:
The most recent Bat-goodie is a set of character posters, which features the best look yet at Paul Dano’s Riddler. Clearly, he’ll be going in a different route with the role than Jim Carrey did in Batman Forever. Or isn’t it? What are the chances? Maybe he’ll throw on some tights in the middle.
In addition to the trailer release, Pattinson and co-star Zoe Kravitz are expected to attend DC FanDome, where we’ll likely get a closer look at her fresh take on Catwoman. On October 16, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST, the fan event will begin.
