Donald Trump has always been a master manipulator of people for his own gain, but he’s also a knucklehead. From the “covfefe” tweet to teaching a young child that Santa Claus isn’t real to practically modifying a weather map that contradicted him with a Sharpie, there’s always some bizarre error that no one else could think of. So it’s no surprise that Trump’s website has been hacked and defaced.
According to CNN, a Turkish hacktivist has taken over a section of the former president’s website. “Do not be like those who lost Allah, thus Allah made them forget themselves,” it said, adding a spiritual lesson. Below it, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave a speech in which he referenced the Quran.
The incident occurred on October 8, but everything was back to normal by Monday. It was a defacement attack, in which a hacker gains access to a website and replaces the content with their own. The same hacker appears to have done the same thing to Joe Biden’s website immediately after he was elected president, so they may be a repeat offender.
