After declaring she was “proud” to accompany a group of elementary school pupils on a field trip to a homosexual nightclub, a Florida school board member has received a lot of anger.
According to a Wednesday social media post by Broward County School Board member Sarah Leonardi, she began taking a group of youngsters from Wilton Manors Elementary School to Rosie’s Bar & Grill on what she referred to as an annual field trip.
“I was SO honored to be invited to chaperone Wilton Manors Elementary’s field trip to the incredible Rosie’s!” she shared to Facebook with pictures. “The students and I had a fun walk over and learned a lot about our community! A huge thank you to Rosie’s Bar and Grill for hosting this special field trip every year!”
The photographs were taken down out of respect for the underage minors. According to sources, the toddlers were seen at the bar and posing with the restaurant’s sign.
Rosie’s bar and grill is noted for being a tropical haven in the heart of a city on the island. According to their website, they offer “great food, cool drinks, and sassy fun.”
“Whether you come for lunch or dinner, for Sunday Funday Brunch or for just a few drinks … whether you are LBGTQ+ or an ally … whether you are local or visiting … whether you come with a group or venture out solo … you will have a memorable experience with the most talented crew in South Florida,” the website read. “See you soon!”
The Washington Examiner attempted to reach out to the Broward County Public School Board and Sarah Leonardi for comment, but neither party responded.
