Reginae Carter can’t escape the comments about her strong resemblance to her mother, Toya Johnson.
On Halloween, the 22-year-old dressed up as a sultry cow and posted photos to Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 31. Shorts with a tail, a long-sleeve shirt, cow ears, and stockings made up the costume. Her entire ensemble was designed to resemble a cow’s black-and-white coat. Carter went above and beyond by painting her nails and eyelids black and white.
A pink-painted nose and a pink ombre on her lips completed her outfit. She captioned the photo, “Milkin’ you hoezzz #happyhalloween Makeup / body paint @makeupbymeilani @racqnoir made everything I have on #goat.”
Followers praised Carter with love eye emojis, fire emojis, and praises ranging from “Gorgeous” to “You been showing out.” Some even mistook her for her mother in the comments section. “Damn, I thought you were yo mommy,” one person exclaimed. Another user said, “You look exactly like Toya in this photo.”
Carter’s cow costume was not the only one he wore for Halloween. She had previously uploaded a snapshot from a photo shoot in which she donned a leopard-print two-piece swimsuit and a fur-trimmed coat. Carter was in a squat, her hair slightly curled, and she was looking straight at the camera. The words “Lil Nae” were inscribed in pink at the top of the image.
Carter was clearly paying homage to femcee Lil Kim with the costume, as anyone familiar with her could tell. Lil Kim did a similar picture shoot for her first studio album, “Hardcore,” in 1996, and Carter included the original photo of Lil Kim in case any folks didn’t get the attire.
She wrote, “Happy Halloween from Lil Nae 🥵.”
