The song is full of funk and grooves, just like their previous two songs, but this time the vocalists are enraged at a past partner who abandoned them. Bruno and.Paak scream about their past lovers’ conduct and their bewilderment at being fooled in the name of love on “Smokin’ Out The Window.”
“Smokin’ Out The Window” follows Silk Sonic’s chart-topping and award-winning single “Leave The Door Open,” which kicked off the road to their new album. Months later, they returned with “Skate,” a playful track that took their funk to a tropical setting.
