In the midst of the disaster, one Astroworld Festival artist is opening his wallet. Roddy Ricch made a big offer on Instagram on Saturday. The artist has promised to donate the proceeds from his show to the relatives of the eight fatalities. As previously reported, the opening day of Astroworld resulted in the deaths of eight people and the injuries of hundreds more. The event drew a throng of almost 50,000 people that evening. Around 9:15 p.m. People began rushing to the front of the stage, placing people at risk of passing out or being trampled. Authorities have reportedly identified seven of the deceased victims, who range in age from 14 to 27 years old, according to People.

“I’m genuinely in shock n don’t even know what to say about last night,” SZA wrote. “Just praying for everyone in Houston, especially the families of those who lost their lives.” Metro Boomin and BIA, who performed on Friday as well, also turned to Twitter to offer their condolences for the victims.
“Praying for all the families and loved ones involved,” Metro Boomin posted on Twitter. “I’m really heartbroken by what happened last night at AstroWorld,” BIA tweeted on Saturday. “My prayers and thoughts are with all of the people who have lost their lives, their families, and everyone who has been affected by this tragedy,” Travis said in a statement and video posted to social media. Kylie Jenner, his girlfriend and children’s mother, spoke out against the criticism early Sunday.
