There is currently an investigation on the disaster that occurred at Travis Scott’s 2021 Astroworld Festival, since there are many issues that need to be answered. One of them is if Travis was aware of the lifeless corpses and general commotion that transpired in the audience during the performance. Many people feel he failed to react despite seeing what was going on in the audience because of videos that were shared on social media. According to a new report from the Houston Chronicle, Live Nation, the show’s promoter, was aware of the problem and made efforts to shut it down.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Live Nation allegedly decided to call the concert off quickly after many people collapsed at 9:38 p.m. local time. Officially, the event ended at 10:10 p.m. local time, however crowd members stated Travis finished his set about 10:15 p.m. Travis may have been informed of the decision to halt the event, but he opted to ignore it and continue performing.
After the incident, Travis’ partner, Kylie Jenner, came to his defense, according to the story. She posted on her Instagram Story, “Travis and I are sad and devastated.” “My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured, or were affected in any way by yesterday’s events,” she said, adding, “And also for Travis, who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community, I want to make it clear that we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show, and in no world would we have continued filming or performing.”
Travis and the Astroworld festival organizers were served with their first lawsuit over the disaster on Saturday. A show visitor who was injured is suing for negligence and gross negligence, demanding at least $1 million in damages.
