Drake and Future have collaborated on many occasions during their careers, including their joint album What A Time To Be Alive in 2015 and their most recent track “Way 2 Sexy” with Young Thug. The team has proven their ability to create magic on records time and time again, and their efforts have now paid off even more than before, as one of their collaborations has received a rare honor. The 2020 track “Life Is Good” by Drake and Future recently received a Diamond certification, indicating that the single has sold 10 million or more copies since its debut.
According to Hypebeast, Future’s manager, Dwight Elder, took to Instagram to celebrate the honor. Future was presented with a plaque to mark the achievement. To make matters even better, the rapper was presented with the plaque during a party commemorating his 38th birthday.
“Life Is Good” debuted at No. 2 on the singles chart shortly after its release at the start of last year, making it Future’s highest-charting song at the time. It kept that title until this year, when Future’s “Way 2 Sexy” debuted at No. 1 and became his first chart-topping single. While “Life Is Good” is Future’s first Diamond-certified song, it is Drake’s third, as “Sicko Mode” with Travis Scott and “God’s Plan” both sold over 10 million copies.
