Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi’s most recent albums, Positions and Man On The Moon III: The Chosen, were released more than a year ago. Both musicians have contributed to a collection of songs in the months afterwards, and now Grande and Cudi have teamed up for their first duet. The song is called “Just Look Up,” and it features in the Netflix film Don’t Look Up, which is humorously titled. The song is a grand and mesmerizing release that brings two musicians who are extremely different together in a very pleasant way.
Don’t Look Up is a Netflix original film starring Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, and others. During an interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence talked about meeting Grande while filming the movie. “I play a pop singer named Riley Bina, and that was one of the coolest days of my life,” Lawrence remarked. I snapped a picture with her and pretended to be the winner of a radio contest. She’s the nicest person I’ve ever met.”
Grande also sang a fantastic interpretation of Britney Spears’ “Oops I Did It Again,” while Cudi recently paid tribute to the late Virgil Abloh with a heartfelt Instagram post. He also collaborated with Willow and Travis Barker on a remix of their song “Transparent.”
