She released her first mixtape, One Foot In Front Of The Other, and broke out with the single “Black Hole,” which earned her Spotify attention, and followed that up with a brand new single, “One Night.” Now, she’s gearing up to keep the momentum going in 2022, this time by teaming up with another force, this time from Norway’s pop world. Griff is clearly a fan of Sigrid, whose 2019 debut Sucker Punch was one of the best pop recordings of the year.
Griff tweeted a tweet yesterday that mashes up both pop artists telling BBC that they’d like to collaborate with each other after they recently shared photographs with each other on Instagram. Griff uploading the mashup video on her Twitter profile with a couple of winking emojis and a tag for Sigrid all but seals the deal for fans. It seems like a marriage made in heaven, given that both of these young singers are introducing a fresh sound to the frequently overproduced and over-crowded pop market, and they also prioritize good lyrics and storytelling.
