Joey Badass will release his fifth album, All Amierkkkan Badass, this spring, which is a great followup to his excellent debut album B4.Da.$$. Joey has released a number of loose singles, guest features, and other releases since then. To date, he’s focused on acting, including roles in Grown-ish, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Two Distant Strangers, which earned an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film, among others. With 2022 starting, Joey Badass is ready to resurface with new music.
Joey fielded questions from fans who checked in during a recent session on Instagram Live, and one of the queries he received was regarding when his third album would be released. He replied, “The album dropping this year for sure… for sure, for sure.” He said, “I ain’t gonna disclose precisely when though cause there’s some rappers who be on my heels. So imma just — it’s coming though.”
In addition to his collaborations with Westside Boogie, DJ Scheme, Phony Ppl, Nas, Westside Gunn, Kenny Beats, and others, Joey’s third album will be his first output since his 2020 EP The Light Pack, which featured three songs and a lone Pusha T feature.
