The 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, will feature Kanye West, nicknamed Ye. The Empire Polo Club grounds in the desert will host the annual music festival.
This year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which runs from April 15 to 17 and April 22 to 24, is already sold out.
Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, and Rage Against the Machine were originally supposed to headline the festival until it was postponed numerous times due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Ocean was delayed for 2023, Rage Against the Machine was dropped entirely, and Scott was dropped after a stampede at Astroworld in November killed ten people.
Scott was accused of instigating the mob, and a petition to remove him from the music festival was started on change.org. In mid-December, he was dropped from Coachella. According to Billboard, Ye may also perform at Coachella on Sunday Service.
However, since the Recording Academy announced the postponement of the 2022 Grammy Awards ceremony, many people on Instagram are asking if Coachella would be postponed for a third time. On Jan. 31, the event was supposed to take place, however it has been postponed until further notice.
On Instagram, fans made jokes about the Omicron variation, which was nicknamed after singer Omarion.
“Are you going to Coachella?”
“One admirer exclaimed. “How can Omarion and all of his cousins still be found? ”
“Wait… Omarion just vanished while Coachella was taking place?”
Another jokingly stated, “Coachella is going to be canceled.”
West performed at Coachella in 2011, and the festival’s last edition was place in 2019 before the epidemic.
