Jamie Lynn Spears and her new book aren’t going anywhere, according to Britney Spears. Since the release of Jamie’s biography ‘Things I Should Have Said,’ Britney has been slamming her sister verbally. In an Instagram post earlier this week, Jamie branded herself a “national best selling author.” It appears that Britney didn’t like the title and didn’t keep her thoughts to herself.
“National best seller???? DUH the timing of your book was unbelievable Jamie Lynn, especially knowing the whole world had no clue what was really done to me,” Britney wrote on Instagram. “My whole family including you is saying YOU DIDN’T KNOW. Bulls**t.”
Since the conclusion of her 13-year conservatorship in November, the pop star has unleashed on her family. The rift has been exacerbated by Jamie’s book. One day before the memoir’s release, Britney and her attorney, Matthew Rosengart, reportedly issued Jamie a cease-and-desist letter.
“We write with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her,” the letter said. “Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.”
During the book’s promotional campaign, Jamie was asked to stop referring to Britney “derogatorily” in the letter. If Jamie continued to discuss “supposed vault stories,” it also threatened legal action.
“I can’t believe I’m officially a NATIONAL BEST SELLING AUTHOR! I have no words except how grateful I am that I was able share my story with y’all,” Jamie wrote. “This has been one of the most challenging and vulnerable things I have ever done and I just honestly can’t thank y’all enough for the support and kindness.”
In addition, Britney shared two clips from the television shows “The Real” and “The Spoke,” in which host Adrienne Bailon and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila talk about Britney and Jamie. “If you wanted to clean your reputation to who is it important to clear your name to?” Adrienne from ‘The Real’ is heard stating. Adrienne and Akbar both stated Jamie should’ve addressed her issues with Britney privately.
“But what these women are saying here is pretty clear !!!! I’m just kinda shocked that more people like these real soul sisters aren’t telling it like it is,” Britney wrote. “Congrats best seller … I’m not surprised at all!!! The nerve of you to sell a book now and talk shit but your f***ing lying just like you lied about Alexa Nikolas!!!!”
Britney also addressed a past feud between Jamie and Alexa Nikolas, a co-star on ‘Zoey 101’. Jamie allegedly tormented Alexa with stories of having a “mean and b****y” attitude and smelling “awful” in her book, but Jamie apparently rejected the allegations. Britney said Alexa’s charges were made to get attention after her “fame had diminished” and that she wasn’t lying.
“I wish you would take a lie detector test so all these masses of people see you’re lying through your teeth about me !!!! I wish the almighty, Lord would could come down and show this whole world that you’re lying and making money off of me,” Britney wrote. “You are scum, Jamie Lynn.”
It’s hardly as horrible as the slap Britney gave Jamie and their mother recently. Britney’s powerful feelings and tantrums, on the other hand, are clearly not going away anytime soon.
