Music often has the ability to capture an emotion, and Julia Pratt’s “Tried and True” seems to capture the feeling of depression, heartbreak, and overall melanchology—some of the elements of the HBO hit series Euphoria.
“Tried and true / I’m making my grave escape / All consumed / is never an even break,” she sings on the song. “Do you still love me the same?” she asks.
“For what it’s worth / I think of you everyday,” she continues later on, before lamenting that she knows that the person is tired, and “tried and true.”
