Hailey Bieber looks to have hit her breaking point after pleading with trolls to leave her alone on TikTok on Tuesday.
“Leave me alone at this point,” she said in the short clip. “I’m minding my business. I don’t do anything, I don’t say anything. Leave me alone, please. Enough time has gone by where it’s valid to leave me alone. I beg of you. Truly. That’s my only request. Be miserable somewhere else, please.”
According to JustJared, the remark was made in response to a social media footage that went viral earlier this week, alleging that Hailey and her husband Justin Bieber were experiencing marital problems – an allegation that the model has categorically refuted.
Complex believes that Selena Gomez’s followers’ recent comments posted under Hailey’s TikTok videos may have contributed to Hailey feeling compelled to respond to the bad remarks she’s been receiving, as she expressed her frustration in the accompanying description.
“This is for you guys in my comments every single time I post,” she wrote.
It’s no secret that since Justin and Selena called it quits in 2018, fans have been hopeful that the former couple, who dated one and off for six years, would reconcile somewhere down the line, totally disregarding the fact that the Biebs is married now.
Hailey has made no secret over the years that she has suffered with the pressure that comes with dating the Peaches hitmaker, having faced online criticism from haters who believe Justin should be with Selena instead of her.
In April 2021, the New Yorker opened up about her mental health struggles after receiving innumerable messages on social media condemning her relationship with Justin and frequently being compared to the singer’s famous ex.
“I think when you’re going through a situation where you just have so many people hounding you with the same thing over and over and over again, it starts to mess with your mind and then you start to question everything,” Hailey expressed in a video posted to her YouTube channel.
“You’re like, ‘Is there something that I’m not seeing that they see? Maybe they are right?’ It was such a low point for me that I was like honestly maybe I am delusional. It’s like separating two realities essentially.”
Just months after getting engaged, Hailey and Justin married in a New York courthouse in September 2018. A year later, the couple married for the second time in South Carolina, with Jaden Smith, Justine Skye, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner among the guests.
