Jennifer Lopez has said that her fiancé Ben Affleck proposed to her when she was naked in the bathtub and begged her to marry him.
Jennifer revealed the news in her On The JLo newsletter, only days after announcing her engagement in a separate article, in which she showed off her magnificent green diamond ring, which Ben is said to have cost upwards of $10 million.
In her latest newsletter, as quoted by Daily Mail, the 52-year-old mother-of-two recalled the special moment when her beau got on his knee and popped the question, saying it all happened in her “favorite place on earth” — the bathtub.
“Did you ever imagine your biggest dream could come true?” the All I Have singer wrote as she detailed that her” beautiful love got on one knee and proposed” on Saturday “while at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath).”
At first, Lopez said she didn’t know how to react to Ben’s proposal, admitting she was utterly taken aback by the move. Instead, she simply “looked in his eyes smiling and crying while trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again.”
“I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘is that a yes?’ I said YES of course that’s a YES.”
Jennifer admitted that the proposal wasn’t particularly memorable — they didn’t fly to an exotic location, and Ben didn’t take his soon-to-be wife on a dinner date, as most guys do when asking for their girlfriend’s hand in marriage.
Nonetheless, the Get Right hitmaker considered her engagement with Ben the most romantic thing she could’ve ever imagined.
“Just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other. Two very lucky people. Who got a second chance at true love.”
Earlier this week, it was reported that Ben, who was previously married to actress Jennifer Garner, spent quite a fortune on the emerald green diamond ring upwards of $10 million.
Jennifer Lawrence recently shared why the color green is so important to her, so the Argo actor paid special attention to what she liked. Green has played an important role in Jennifer Lopez’s life over the years, from her legendary Versace gown to the artwork that hangs in her home (mainly green), and now with her engagement ring, she could be onto something.
