Trensettahs Sound System might have a hit song for the summer. When you first listen to their new single “La Fiebre,” the first thing you want to do is dance – and maybe whine your waste a likkle bit.
While the group describes themselves as “a collective of Afro-futurists working to create and promote reggae music to fans all around the world,” this song sounds a bit more like dancehall and maybe a bit of afrobeats. Either way, it’s fun track that’s worth a listen especially as the weather gets warmer.
The group has other big plans too. According to a press release, they “planned an annual festival in Ethiopia, a collaborative album featuring artists from Jamaica, Ethiopia, Columbia and the U.S.A., as well as a 5-part docuseries that follows the collective to Columbia, Jamaica and the U.S.A.”
