Paul Supreme’s “Ninja Sword” has an enjoyable, upbeat sound but it loses some of its charm once the artist starts wailing off-key on the track in a way that’s more cringy than endearing. Although to be fair, it’s also reminiscent of the Tom Petty’s classic song “Free Falling” or one of The Lonely Island tracks which are usually pretty good.
The song’s meaning is a lot stronger too as Supreme talks about the ups and downs of life.
As said in the press release, Supreme “showcases both his heady life experience and his equally hefty sense of humor and ability to laugh at life, including himself and his own relationships” in this song.
