If you love Nat King Cole, Dinah Washington, or Pasty Cline, you’ll likely enjoy Lyia Meta’s Always You.
In the title track, Meta’s voice croons over smooth and sultry jazz sounds. The same sound can be found in “It’s Up To You” and “My Dream Lover” which would make for the perfect soundtrack to a romantic candlelit dinner. On the other hand “Never Enough Time,” “For You,” “Savor You,” and “As We Throw Caution to the Wind” are a bit more bluesy-er. “To Know What It’s Like” sounds like a breeze in a good way.
“With the album ‘ALWAYS YOU,’ the story continues as I attempt to retell the words written by songwriter Denise Dimin through my own experiences and emotions,” said Meta in a statement provided to press. “ALWAYS YOU is my latest chapter as I continue my musical journey!”
