If you’ve been obsessed with the fictional musical, Death Rattle, from the recent season of Only Murders in the Building, or the soundtrack The Hunchback of Notre Dame, you might like the Black Dog String Quartet’s new album, A Thousand Times Brighter.
Standouts like songs “All The Pretty Horses,” “Rain and Shine,” and “How I Remember It” sound like epic musical numbers sung by an optimistic and wistful protagonist.
“In a dream I was making it / with a dream girl I was making it / I didn’t know her name / She touched me so kindly / She loved me so blindly / But I woke and it started again,” sings one of the lead vocalists.
The group also has quite a few accolades under their belt too. According to their bio, “[i]ndividual members have performed live on stage with some of the world’s top acts, including Rod Stewart, Kanye West, Sting, Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Video Games Live.”
