Will Smith, the iconic rapper and actor, is making a triumphant return to the music scene with his upcoming album, ‘Based on a True Story,’ scheduled for release on March 28, 2025. This marks his first studio album since 2005’s ‘Lost and Found.’

In a recent Instagram post, Smith shared his excitement about the project, stating, “It’s OFFICIAL!! My new album ‘Based on a True Story’ drops March 28. TWO WEEKS!”

The album is set to feature collaborations with notable artists, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, Big Sean, Joyner Lucas, Russ, and his son, Jaden Smith. The tracklist is divided into 14 episodes, reflecting Smith’s innovative approach to storytelling through music.

Leading up to the album’s release, Smith has dropped several singles, such as “Beautiful Scars” featuring Big Sean and OBanga, and “First Love,” which debuted last month.

In addition to the album, Smith has announced his first-ever headlining world tour, set to kick off on July 13 in Hamburg, Germany. The tour will visit major cities across Morocco, Europe, and the United Kingdom, with performances at international festivals like Mawazine in Morocco, POSITIV Festival in France, Dreambeach in Spain, and BIG ART Festival in Italy.

This ambitious return to music and touring signifies a new chapter in Smith’s multifaceted career, blending his experiences and insights into his artistic endeavors.
