In general, persons in the United States obtain their driver’s licenses throughout their teenage years. Lil Nas X, on the other hand, was a late bloomer in that aspect. He’s now 22 years old and recently received his driver’s license, which he published a photo of a few months ago and indicated was issued on April 30 of this year. Then, on June 21, he posted a photo gallery of his new first car, a Mercedes that had been foretold by “Panini.”
So, he’s got his license for a little over two months and his car for about two weeks, and he’s already drew the notice of the law: he celebrated his first traffic stop on TikTok today. The rapper looks at the camera with his palm over his mouth in surprise in the footage, which he also uploaded on Twitter and Instagram. The camera then shifts to show the police car in his side mirror. Nas dances in the front seat of his car as the police car remains behind him at the end of the video. All the while, the video is captioned (and narrated by a computer-generated voice), “Oh my god guys I finally did it! I got pulled over.”
Meanwhile, Nas is featured in a new New York Times story, in which he discusses an even worse incident that occurred the same night he tore his pants on Saturday Night Live.
