Percy \”Romeo\” Miller (a.k.a. Lil\’ Romeo) is following his dad, Master P, and lacing up his hoop shoes for the basketball court. The University of Sourthern California has given Romeo a full basketball scholarship, and he has verbally committed to play there in 2008. I wonder if Master P will try to have USC wearing his P. Miller brand shoes? Do those shoes even exist anymore?
In case you didn\’t know, Master P received a basketball scholarship to the University of Houston. During his No Limit Record days, Master P also tried out for the Raptors, Hornets, and Nuggets, but was never able to break into the NBA. Apparently, Lil\’ Romeo has some hoop game as well.
A friend of mine has a little brother that used to play against Romeo\’s AAU team a few years ago, and she had mentioned that he was pretty good. It could have been easy for Romeo to just kick back and eat off his pops\’ money, but he\’s a talented dude himself. I\’ll be looking out for him in 2008. I also read that he plans on majoring in Business Administration.
This past season, the 6-foot tall Romeo, averaged 13.9 points and 5.6 assists for Beverly Hills High as a junior. Yeah, that\’s right, Beverly Hills High. It looks like Master P sure ain\’t broke!
