In the ongoing cyber war between Israel and the Arab world, an Israeli hacker going by the name Hannibal has published thousands of Facebook and email login details scrapped from Arab users. The cyber attack, which comes after hacking attacks on Israel, comes on the back of intensifying cyber warfare being waged between different parties pitched against each other. The hacked accounts were posted on the text upload website Pastebin and show the user’s email address as well as login details and passwords.
The hacker, who claims he/she has over 30 million email and Facebook logins from Saudi Arabia and Iran as well as 10 million bank accounts and 4 million credit cards has threatened to release these more sensitive account details if the Israeli Prime Minister authorises a cyber attack on the Arab world. The hacker has however promised to continue uploading Facebook and email account details every day in batches ranging from 2,000 accounts to 100,000 accounts. Here is an excerpt of the numerous messages the hacker has posted on the site:

In addition, I received thousands of emails helpless Arabs, who are begging me to stop publishing the Facebook accounts because it violates their browsing experience.
I have about 30 million e-mails of Arabs with passwords I’ll post them throughout my life and my personal list is growing every day hundreds of thousands of emails
Also, I received hundreds of emails of senior politicians from France and other countries, who asked me not to publish the list of the 10 million my bank accounts.
So guys, if the state’s chief Benny Gantz, or Prime Minister Netanyahu declare cyber war, I will have to publish the list of 10 million bank accounts. In addition I also have about 4 million credit cards. Just give a command and i will do it !!

Facebook have since blocked most of the accounts listed on the site with users trying to access their accounts being prompted to go through the password verification and change process. The hacker claims to have received thousands of emails from users “begging” him not to publish any more accounts. Facebook are yet to comment on the hacking attack.
