Seven time Pro-bowl wide receiver, Randy Moss, meets with the San Fransisco 49ers today as Moss continues to tour the market in free agency.
“Former Colt Pro Bowl QB throwing for #49ers tomorrow. Just to clarify, Coach Harbaugh is turning into Capt Comeback to throw to Randy Moss,” tweeted 49ers CEO Jed York.
Moss also visited the New Orleans Saints recently, on March 6, and sources say that the man who appeared in the workouts is the Moss of old. Among the drills in the workouts included Moss running 45 pass routes and clocking in an impressive 40-yard dash within the 4.39 to 4.4 second range. Several other teams have shown interest in the 35-year-old Moss in light of his strong workout performance with the New Orleans Saints.
Moss sat out the entire 2011 season but split time with the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans in 2010 where he gained just 393 receiving yards. In recent years Moss saw his best performance during the ’09 and ’07 seasons with the Patriots, compiling 1,264 receiving yards for 13 TDs and 1,493 receiving yards for 23 TDs respectively.
Moss’ home for the upcoming season is ultimately unclear at this point but the veteran is achieving good strides in making a come-back for 2012.
