Probably most of the guys who are reading this already bought one or two Playboys in their life. But I guess most of us girls never even thought about buying one. Well, now is a good time to do so. The new Playboy, available on Friday, has Bruno Mars on the cover. And to prevent disappointment – he is wearing a suit.
Grammy winner Bruno Mars (26) will be the 10th man that ever made it on the cover of Playboy. “USA Today” published the cover up front in their magazine, showing the singer (“Just the way you are” and “It will rain”) posing in a designer suit, a guitar and “Miss April” Raquel Pomplun lying to his feet.
The last man who made it on the cover was actor Seth Rogen in 2009. The first one was 1964 Peter Sellers, followed from others like Burt Raynolds (1979), Steve Martin (1980), Donald Trump (1990) and Leslie Nielson (1996).
In February Bruno Mars was voted in London at the Brit Awards as the best international male artist. In his songs the Hawaiian singer mixes different styles like Soul, Rock, R&B and Reggae. In his Playboy interview he says that the idols of his youth were Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix, who was for him “the biggest guitarist in the world”. He was the reason why Bruno Mars started playing the guitar.
Who wants to read more needs to buy the Playboy issue that drops on Friday. A good reason for us girls to buy it for the first time and a good excuse for the guys to buy it again.
