Aaron had a few words to say about his absence in the fourth season of the Boondocks. He extended his gratitude to Sony and Adult Swim for the three great seasons of the show that he was apart of, inspired by his comic of the same name that he created two decades ago in college and did the daily comic for six years.
He added that The Boondocks represented his life’s work to this point and Huey, Riley, and Granddad were not just property to him but his fictional blood relatives and it was painful to leave the television show behind, and although it was not perfect and quick, it was always done with a keen sense of duty, history, culture, and love.
“As for me, I’m finally putting a life of controversy and trouble making behind me with my upcoming Adult Swim show, BLACK JESUS”, He concluded.
