Christians are upset over the plain red coffee cups at Starbucks all because they don’t have a “Christmas” theme.
Wow. So this is way over the line. According to various reports, Christians are accusing Starbucks of “hating Jesus”.
“Starbucks REMOVED CHRISTMAS from their cups because they hate Jesus,” said Joshua Feuerstein in a viral Facebook post that garnered nearly 10.5 million views since Thursday.

This has me facepalming all over the place. A lot of people don’t mind the plain red color. In fact, some people like it because it’s simple. Plus red is considered to be a Christmas color.
So what’s the big deal? Maybe Starbucks didn’t want to offend those who don’t celebrate Christmas, or maybe it was cheaper to get just a plain colored cup. Whatever the reason, I kinda like the plain cups. It’s simple and in its own way it still symbolizes the Holidays whether you celebrate Christmas or not.
But I still don’t get why people are still upset. I mean, it’s a cup for crying out loud. If you really don’t like the plain color, get a few markers and doodle on the cup, make your own decorations, or simply go to another coffee shop. Again, it’s a cup. Get over it.
To those who don’t mind the plain color, good for you! You know it’s just a cup and there’s no reason to cry over it. As I said, you can always take a marker, pen, whatever, and just draw on your own decorations. I do it all the time with Starbucks plain white cups. The cup still symbolizes the Holidays in its own way and is meant not to offend anyone. But in this day and age, anything can offend someone. Time to grow up America!
