Imagine that you spend years thinking your neighbor is just the run of the mill douchebag who complains when the kids are playing out front too loudly. Now imagine waking up one day to discover that your douchy neighbor is really a sociopath. I bet that’s how some of George Zimmerman’s former neighbors are feeling as the years pass by since the Floridian was thrust into the national spotlight fell on him in 2012 when he shot Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teen outside his home.
The nation was divided. You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing one of their names or discussing the case or eventual verdict. When George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges stemming from the youth’s death you would have thought that he would fade back into obscurity but that would not be the case. Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has had run in after run in with the law. He has made a public mockery of the death of Trayvon Martin, he has been accused repeatedly of violence and cashed in on his “celebrity” offensively.
George Zimmerman is a public menace. It’s uncanny how someone who had no significant criminal record prior to 2012 has been in so much trouble since. The few run ins with the law he had prior to his 2012 arrest gave light to his aggression but he was given a slap on the wrist in those cases. In 2005 he was arrested for assaulting an undercover cop and an ex claimed domestic violence. It seems these days Zimmerman will do anything to stay in the headlines. Let’s take a look at what George Zimmerman has been up to since he was cleared in the 2012 slaying of Trayvon Martin.
September 9, 2013 – Lake Mary County Police were called by Zimmerman’ estranged wife claiming he assaulted her father and threatened them both with a gun. he was not arrested.

He was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, Domestic Violence, Battery and Criminal Mischief. Charges were later dropped.

January 9, 2015 – George Zimmerman was arrested and charged with assault after throwing a bottle at his ex girlfriend. Charges were later dropped..
August 2015 – George Zimmerman made headlines again when he began to sell limited edition prints of a Confederate Battle Flag to a “Muslim Free” anti Muslim gun store in Florida.
September 28, 2015 – Zimmerman retweeted a photo of Trayvon Martin’s lifeless body just moments after he had shot him. When public outcries reached him he claimed it was retweeted by accident.
Just yesterday George Zimmerman made news again.
December 3, 2015 – Zimmerman is suspended from Twitter after he tweeted nude photos of a woman he purported to be his ex along with statements that she “cheated on his with a dirty Muslim” and “she will sleep with anyone.” He also tweeted out what he claimed to be her phone number as well as email address.
Run in after run in with the law. One act of violence and aggression after another. Blatant disregard for others rights and feelings. Purposeful maliciousness. This is George Zimmerman, a man who has been given pass after pass after pass. It’s hard to look at his actions and not see a menace to the peace and harmony of society. I just look at his criminal history and public antics and wonder. Where would he be if he were black?
