Jamie Foxx did a great job as Ray Charles in Ray, but it seems that the actor can also channel another music artist — Future.
Although Foxx isn’t exactly the Atlanta rapper — he’s playing his fictional dad, Past, in Verizon’s latest commercial. With a grey beard and some faux dreads, Foxx dances around and takes shots at the infamous “Verizon Man,” Paul Marcarelli who used to ask repeatedly ask viewers, “can you hear me now?” Marcarelli is now teaming up with Verizon’s rival in a Sprint’s commercial. But, Past is saying that it’s not about “can you hear me now?” but “can you see me now.” Oh snap.
“Past” also boasts that he ” taught [Future] everything he knows.” Then he hits the dab.
Future caught wind of the clip as well. “Thanks of the love…super,” tweeted the Freebandz leader.
