Haiti was struck by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake over two weeks ago, killing over 2,000 people and injuring over 12,000 more. In what appears to be an all-too-common scenario, they’ve now been left to pick up the pieces. Future just offered them assistance by announcing a benefit concert to raise funds for relief operations. On his Instagram feed, he revealed that the event would take place on September 3 at the Oasis Wynwood in Miami, Florida.
“I would love for all my friends, family, music industry, fashion, and all other industries, and people as a whole to stand up for Haiti,” he wrote. “I want to use my voice to do whatever I can to support Haiti during these tragic times and will be doing a benefit concert on September 3rd in Miami. Tap in to support. – Pluto.”
Attendees can expect performances from “Lil Uzi & Friends,” which means Future will be performing alongside other well-known musicians. Additionally, organizations such as the New England Patriots have donated commodities and resources to aid the country’s recovery.
