Updated at 10:20 p.m. Chris Brown has been arrested and is in police custody for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Chris Brown has finally came out of the house after an 11 hour stand off with police at his Los Angeles home today. Police arrived to the troubled singer’s home around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning after a woman called alleging that Brown had pulled a gun on her and threatened her.
Baylee Curran called 911 from outside Brown’s home alleging that Brown pulled a gun on her when she got to close to some jewelry he was looking at. According to Curran she had returned inside the house after stepping outside to find Chris and friends looking at jewelry. “I don’t know if it was Chris’ friend or how he was related, but that’s when he told me to back away from the diamond necklace and started cussing me out and calling me names,” Curran stated. “That’s when Chris pulled his gun and told me to ‘Get out.’ He said ‘I’m sick of you girls, get the F out!’”
Curran’s tale takes an even wilder turn here. The beauty pageant winner claims that she and her friend ran from Brown’s mansion but were forced to wait outside to get her phone back. She had handed her phone over for security purposes when she entered the home. Curran says that when one of Chris’ associates came out to return her phone she was asked to sign a non disclosure agreement and refused. Miss California Regional 2016 , Curran says that she grabbed her phone from the man’s hand and ran with her friend. She claims the man attempted to give chase in a jeep but she and her friend made it to a neighbors yard and hid under an SUV where she called police.
Curran also took to Twitter to blast Chris Brown and accuse him of stealing her jewelry. “Chris Brown is not innocent, he held a gun to my head and took my jewellery, it’s not the first time he threatened a woman,” the actress tweeted after her incident with Brown.
Police were outside of Brown’s home for hours as they worked to obtain a search warrant. Around 1 p.m. Brown finally emerged from his home police searched the mansion and found not only guns but drugs as well. Mark Geragos, Brown’s attorney was on the scene at the Tarzana home while police conducted the search.
Attempting to gain access to the singer’s home was a “long and protracted” process according to Los Angeles police Deputy Chief Bob Green. No charges have been pressed against the embattled singer as of yet, and at least 6 people were in the home when police entered. “We’re getting the cooperation of everyone that came out,” Lt. Chris Ramirez told reporters.
while the police were attempting to gain access to the “Ayo” singer, Chris took to Instagram to post videos taunting the police and media.
“So I’m asleep half the damn night and I just wake up, and all these [expletive] helicopter choppers is around, police out there at the gate,” he rants in one video. “What the [expletive] do you want from me, bro? I stay out the way, I take care of my daughter, do work.”
“I ain’t did s–t. I ain’t going to do s–t. And it’s always going to be be f–k the police black lives matter n—er,” he said. “I don’t care y’all going to stay playing with me like I’m the villain out here, like I’m going crazy. You guys got me f–ked up though because good luck when you get the warrant or whatever you need to do. You’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing you idiots. I’m tired of f–king dealing with you all, y’all the worst gang in the world, the police, and I said it.” The Grammy singer ranted in another video.
“Every three months you come up with something, bro,” his tirade continued video after video. “What’s going to be next?” He seemed to be enjoying the attention, “Y’all ain’t doing anything but giving me better publicity. ‘Barricaded myself in my house?’ Have you seen my house? Imma barricade myself in a palace. I’m not coming out. For what?”
It is said that at some point in the stand off a duffel bag was thrown out of a window that contained firearms and narcotics.
Chris Brown was not the only celebrity in his home as police posted up outside attempting to gain access. Actor/singer Ray J was also at Brown’s residence and was handcuffed and detained briefly as he exited the home.
“I’m not happy with how things are handled and how people can take a false story and blow it up into something way more than it should be,” Ray J said. “You got just positive people around and you look outside and it’s like a war zone for no reason. For what? Some strangers said something that don’t got nothing to do with nothing. And to react like that, so fast, without really knowing the facts…It shouldn’t be like that.” Ray J said in his own Instagram video Tuesday. Police kept his car as part of the investigation, Ray J took an uber home.
This is far from Chris’s first run in with the law. In 2009 he was arrested after allegedly assaulting his then girlfriend, Rihanna. In 2013 he was involved in a hit and rub and in 2014 plead guilty to assault after punching a fan. The singer has been staying out of trouble since he found out he was a father. He spends his time working and raising his daughter, Royalty, who is said to have been inside the home at the time all of this was occurring.
Hoping these allegations don’t derail the young singer who has seemed to be on the right path in the last year..
