The infamous black BMW that Tupac Shakur was riding in the night he was shot in Las Vegas is being sold for $1.5 million.
The vehicle, currently owned by Moments in Time, a company that has sold other Tupac possessions including lyric sheets and notebooks is now looking to unload the BMW 750iL for a boatload of cash.
Tupac was riding in the car with Suge Knight after the Mike Tyson fight in 1996 on the night he was hit with the shots that would take his life seven days later. The vehicle was impounded by the Las Vegas Police Department immediately following the shooting. It was eventually auctioned off and switched ownership several times before being purchased by Moments in Time, according to TMZ.
The BMW has been fully restored, so the bullet holes from that night are no longer visible. However, the buyer will still be able to see indentations from the shooting.
Tupac was shot four times that night by gunmen in a car that pulled up alongside them on the Las Vegas strip.
Suge Knight, who was in the driver’s seat, was grazed by the bullets. The BMW can be seen in many of the news clips covering the shooting surrounded by yellow tape. Tupac and Knight also took a picture in the vehicle shortly before the shooting on Sept. 7th, 1996.
