Tina Turner is a legend and her legacy is set to live on forever. With the film, Proud Mary (named after the rocker’s hit song) is set to be released next year, Turner’s background vocalist is providing some powerhouse tunes in her single “First Day.”
The Londoner not only worked as a background vocalist for Turner but she’s also toured with Duran Duran where she performed at Coachella, Lollapalooza and the Olympics.
But now, she’s stepping into the spotlight with a soaring single that gives us ’90s house and R&B vibes mixed with anime OSTs.
The track is co-written by Duran Duran’s vocalist/songwriter Simon Le Bon. John Taylor’s (Duran Duran’s bassist) is slated to release a remix of the track with co-producer Charles Scott later this month as well.
