It looks like Kenneth Petty’s, Nicki Minaj’s husband, past is coming back to haunt the couple.
A report says that Petty has an indictment for failing to register as a sex offender and was arrested by U.S. Marshal. Petty was spotted in federal custody after turning himself in as the report continues. He is scheduled to go before a judge later on March 4.
Petty getting pulled over while in Beverly Hills in November started the issue when Petty first moved to California in July of 2019. Officer’s determined that Petty was a registered sex offender in the state of New York, but, he had failed to do so in California.
He was charged by the L.A. County D.A. for failing to register as a sex offender, and released on a $20,000 bond. However, it seems Petty still didn’t register as the federal authorities are now on top of the case.
As previously reported, Kenneth’s sex offender status stems from a 1995 conviction for first-degree attempted rape. He spent four years in a New York jail and was required to register as a sex offender. He was later sent to prison for first-degree manslaughter. and spent another seven years in jail before being released in 2013.
If Nicki’s man is convicted for failing to register, he could serve ten years in prison.
