Rapper DaBaby will reportedly have to face the consequences of slapping a female fan in the face.
According to reports, a lawsuit will be likely to be filed as the woman who was assaulted has officially hired an attorney to help with her case against DaBaby.
As previously reported, DaBaby assaulted a female fan on March 7th while making his way to the stage to perform. The woman had her phone out to take of photo of herself and DaBaby when he then slaps her across the face out of nowhere as seen in the widely circulated video of the incident.
With so many fans were shocked and enraged at his actions, things got so out of hand after he assaulted the woman, that his show ended before he even took the stage. Initially, he took to social media to say that he didn’t slap the woman, but instead just knocked her phone out of her hand.
He then issued a public apology to her following the intense backlash he received due to his actions. Now, that brings us to the present—and it appears that the woman has officially hired legal representation.
The woman has reportedly hired attorney Matt Morgan, of the law firm “Morgan & Morgan,” and he has been retained to represent the interests of Tyronesha Laws, the woman’s legal name. Morgan stated the following about the potential case, “Ms. Laws has received DaBaby’s Instagram message. We look forward to speaking with Mr. Kirk.”
