It was previously reported that presidential candidate Joe Biden was accused of sexual assault by a former senate staffer.
Breaking his silence on the accusation, he claims, “it never happened.”
For the first time, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president released a statement about the claims by former senate aide Tara Reade. He bluntly states, “No, it is not true. I am saying unequivocally it never, never happened, and it didn’t. It never happened.”
After confirming a previous statement, “I am requesting that the Secretary of the Senate ask the [National] Archives to identify any record of the complaint she alleges she filed and make available to the press any such document. If there was ever any such complaint, the record will be there,” he continues,
“I’m not going to go in and question her motive. I’m not going to attack her. She has a right to say whatever she wants to say. But I have a right to say look at the facts. Check it out.”
On whether an NDA was ever signed, Biden says no. Wholly, “There’s no NDA signed. No one’s ever signed. I’ve never asked anyone to sign an NDA. There are no NDAs, period, in my case. None.”
